Apartment in Me Do Re, JLT

The apartment is not large, so the envelope is kept white: walls, ceilings, fluted panels, a pale herringbone floor. Against that, one material is allowed to be loud. A deep green marble with white veining appears as a full-height panel behind the bed, as an inset next to the TV and as the worktop, splashback and waterfall end of the kitchen island.

Fluted white panels run behind the bed and the TV and hide the junctions between old and new walls. A floating dressing table stretches along the bedroom wall under a large round mirror with a black frame and integrated light. The only other colour is a bottle-green velvet chair.

Black is used as a thin line: articulated wall lamps on both sides of the bed, the frame of the mirror, the pendants over the island with copper interiors, a floating TV unit in black brushed oak.

In the kitchen, white handleless cabinets go up to the ceiling, and the green island with two bar stools replaces a dining table.
